GetJet Airlines, the Lithuanian ACMI and charter airline, has announced the first summer lease contract of its wide-body A-330 to Tunisair, positioning it as the first wide-body, long haul aircraft registered in the Baltics.
Under the terms of this contract, the aircraft will be based at Tunis–Carthage Airport, Tunis, Tunisia. The leasing period is from June to the end of September 2019.
“It is not the first partnership with well-established airline Tunisair, and this contract represents an excellent growth opportunity for us. We are also in talks with potential partners concerning the prospect of acquiring long-haul contracts for winter 2019-2020,” says GetJet Airlines CEO Darius Viltrakis.
With the acquisition of 8 additional aircraft this year, GetJet Airlines fleet has been growing steadily and now comprises 17 fully-serviced and maintained aircraft: 7 Boeing 737 classics, 6 A320s, a wide-body Airbus A330 and 3 Airbus A319s. GetJet Airlines provides connections across Europe as well as long-haul flights.
